As we all know, the normal operation of the filter press requires a variety of filter cloths to assist, and the filter cloth selection is directly related to the working quality of the filter press, which directly affects the filter separation effect of the filter press. Because the filter cloth is the main interceptor for separating the solids in the separation mixture from the filter press equipment. Just like using a fine sieve to drain sand, whether the sand passes through the fine sieve depends on the size of the pore size of the fine sieve. Only the sand smaller than the pore size can pass through the fine sieve. Therefore, the filter cloth of the filter press has the same data, that is, the mesh number of the filter cloth.
The filter cloth mesh indicates the density of the pores of the filter cloth, and the "mesh" is the number of holes on the filter cloth per square inch (1 square inch = 2.54 square centimeters), such as the filter cloth of 1 mesh. There are 10 holes in inches, which is equivalent to a hole size of 1651 μm (1 cm = 1000 μm). The main selection of the filter cloth filter cloth mesh is that the larger the mesh number, the better, because the larger the mesh size, the smaller the pore size, the lower the filtration efficiency, and the lower the filtration speed.
