Recently, a large electronic mall in Anshan West Road came before a monitoring equipment sales shop. I saw a large and small camera at the entrance of the store, "dog-toothed", and the reporter's multi-angle images were on the side of a monitor. A merchant enthusiasm stopped the reporter. According to his definition, each set of prices ranged from 280 yuan to 680 yuan. In addition to the large camera with infrared night vision, some "invisible" cameras are also found everywhere.
With the advancement of technology, there are numerous monitoring devices on the market, ranging from millimeter-sized pinhole cameras to long-range cameras with night vision capabilities. There are also many reasons for the spread of installations in the market, such as looking at the car and watching the house watching flowers. With regard to the phenomenon of flooding of surveillance equipment, some citizens have questioned the proneness to privacy violations and need to be strengthened.
The author interviewed several citizens. Mr. Wu, who is a citizen, reflected that the installation of monitoring equipment is indeed a bit flooding. Many cameras in the community are numerous. Especially at night, on the walls and around corners, there are often visible night vision infrared lamps. As for the invisible "invisible camera", it is even more worrying. There are also citizens who say that surveillance cameras, once used by unscrupulous people, may infringe on people’s privacy and should be regulated.
Jia Fang, a lawyer from Tianjin Dewei Law Firm, said that at present, the country has no specific regulations to regulate the installation of monitoring equipment. However, in the judicial practice, there is indeed an illegal phenomenon of using surveillance cameras to “peep”. Jia lawyer said that it is clear that the privacy of places such as toilets and dormitories does not allow installation of cameras. Moreover, the installation of outdoor cameras does not allow to face the windows and bathrooms of other people's homes. Once such acts are discovered, the parties may be required to make corrections, and lawsuits may also be brought against the court in accordance with the relevant provisions of the civil law to require the parties to apologize and compensate. According to inspection data, it was found that Article 46(6) of the “Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China” clearly stipulates that if a person peeps, sneak shots, eavesdrops, or spreads the privacy of others, he shall be detained for less than 5 days or a fine of 500 yuan or less; If he is heavy, he shall be detained for not less than 5 days and not more than 10 days, and may be concurrently fined not more than 500 yuan.
